Dear Parents and Guardians

Welcome to Week 3

NAS Round 1

Congratulations to all students who proudly represented the College at the first round of Northern Associated School Sports this week. As you know, we strongly promote sport as part of the development of the whole student and therefore always encourage our students to be involved.

We are striving to build good momentum around sport at Servite and encourage students to continue their involvement in teams over the course of the season. We are excited to have all of our Year 7 students involved an the ACC Lightening Carnival scheduled for Monday next week which will involve all of our students in a range of different sports across the day.

Congratulations to our Year 7 and 9 students who completed their NAPLAN assessments this week. It was pleasing to see the positive and industrious manner with which our students approached these assessments.

Year 11 Dinner Dance

This evening our Year 11 students will attend their Dinner Dance at AQWA. The evening will provide the opportunity for students to relax outside of the school environment and spend some quality time together as a year group. Events of this type allow us time to celebrate the richness of our community and the wonderful connections that exist.

Congratulations to our Year 11 cohort for the positive and enthusiastic way that they have involved themselves in the lead up to the celebration. We also acknowledge the efforts of Mrs Rose McAuliffe and College staff who have worked hard to ensure the success of the evening.

Servite P&F

We are always very grateful for the terrific support we constantly receive from our parents at Servite. We greatly value the involvement of our families in the life of the school and have long promoted the importance of parent engagement as a key success strategy for the improvement of student learning.

Thank you to those parents who were able to attend the most recent Parents and Friends meeting. The evening provided the opportunity for us to explore some future directions and development of the P&F and how it can continue to provide engagement opportunities for families at Servite.

We are looking forward to the upcoming P&F event scheduled for Wednesday 31 May when cybersafety expert Mr Paul Litherland will explore how we build digital citizenship skills to ensure student online experiencesare safe, responsible and positive. This important free event will be held in the College auditorium from 7.00-8.30pm. All are encouraged to attend. Click here to register.

Best wishes and every blessing
